Description

How do you like to listen to your music? Take your pick with the Stream 94i

As you’d expect, the Roberts Radio Stream 94i features a top quality DAB/FM radio. Yet it goes much further than this with a huge range of streaming options. Link by Wi-Fi or Ethernet and enjoy Internet Radio, Spotify Connect or direct music streaming. Bluetooth offers another wireless option, plus there’s a USB interface for plug-in access for your memory stick. Topped off by 3.5mm audio input and output, the Stream 94i truly has it all covered.

Bluetooth for quick and easy streaming

Bluetooth gives you a quick and easy wireless link, wherever you are – even outside. The beauty with Bluetooth music streaming is the ability to connect any smartphone or tablet and easily stream your stored music or favourite music services such as Spotify or Apple Music. As an Internet connection isn’t required, it works just as well in the garden as it does indoors.

Internet radio – Roberts Radio Stream 94i

Connect up to your home network by either Ethernet or the built-in Wi-Fi and you’ve access to a whole world of music. With a choice of thousands of radio stations from around the globe, there truly is something for everyone. With easy searching via genre, finding the stations you might like is simple and, thanks to a massive 120-preset memory with five favourites, recalling them is straight-forward, too.

Spotify Connect

This Roberts radio also has the advantage of offering Spotify Connect. Spotify Connect uses your existing Spotify account but seamlessly transfers it between sources. So, for example, you might be listening to Spotify on your mobile device then, when you arrive home, transfer it to the Roberts radio at the touch of a button! Wherever you use 3G or 4G, Wi-Fi or LAN, AirPlay, Bluetooth or UPnP, Spotify Connect simply keeps the music following – seamlessly.

Or stream your own music with UPNP and DLNA compatibility

Another great feature with the Roberts Radio Stream 94i is the ability to stream your own music. Thanks to UPnP (Universal Plug n Play) and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), it’s easy to both find other devices on your home network and then stream from them – either over an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. So, for example, you might want to stream music stored on your PC or laptop. With the Stream 94i it’s easy. It will even cope with a wide range of files, including MP3, WMA, FLAC and AAC.

DAB or FM

In addition to Internet radio and streaming, the Stream 94i also offers DAB and FM wavebands. DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) gives access to the widest range of stations in the UK, in crisp and clear digital sound quality. In case your favourite stations aren’t available in DAB, then the Roberts Radio Stream 94i is also equipped with an FM tuner. Boasting RDS for station naming, this is almost as easy to use as DAB and still provides great sound quality.

Great connectivity including USB

Yet another highlight with the Roberts Radio Stream 94i is the USB socket. This connects to a USB media device and, like the DLNA streaming, works with a wide variety of file types, including MP3, WMA, FLAC and AAC. The Stream 94i not only has a headphone socket but also a 3.5mm output socket – perfect for plugging in a pair of more powerful active speakers or even your home hi-fi. There’s a third 3.5mm socket that’s an AUX input; ideal for connecting up your MP3 player or other music source.

Rich, Roberts sound

Rather than plastic, the Roberts Radio Stream 94i uses a traditional wood cabinet. This not only looks good but also helps produce the natural sound that Roberts radios are famed for. Especially good with speech but also, thanks to the built-in woofer, punchy with music, listening to the Stream 94i is always a rich experience.

Optional battery pack

Mains powered as standard, the Roberts Radio Stream 94i can also be used with an optional battery pack. This makes the radio fully portable, letting you enjoy music in the garden or anywhere else when you’re out and about. Combined with the Bluetooth streaming, you can now access a near unlimited supply of music, where ever you are.
